Vicki Schilling
Dr. Vicki placed an ad in the T.H. stating there might be relief for restless legs. My husband showed me the ad and suggested I give this a try. I know different conditions aren’t completely treatable but I had nothing to lose.
Besides restless legs, I was plagued with hamstring, calf, and foot cramps. I had severe tightness in my “hump” between my shoulder blades. Insomnia and feeling sluggish were common. My left foot constantly hurt as I have three toes longer than the rest and I made my own insoles just to get me through my work day.
After my first adjustment, I was amazed that I could turn my head to the left after years of being restricted from that movement. I could do a runners stretch without immediate leg cramps. I started to notice I was standing a little straighter without severe pressure on my shoulders. My foot hardly bothered me at work and noticed my stride had changed when I walked barefoot. I have noticed while doing yoga that my balance had also improved.
Best of all, I can now relax without restless legs after 20 years. After being tortured with this condition, I can’t begin to explain how wonderful it is. Parkinson’s medication is the go-to medication for this condition, and that is a scary thought. I have cut my medication in half to avoid the initial withdrawal symptoms but have no plans of refilling it. When I go to bed now, I no longer have to wonder if in 20 minutes these symptoms will reappear.
I still struggle with a little insomnia but I have a positive attitude and believe as my adjustments continue, and I work on my diet, things will greatly improve.
3 weeks into my treatment adventure and hooked on foot baths!

Before I came into Tri States Clinic of Chiropractic I could not walk without a cane. I also could not stand long because my legs would start hurting and did not have my balance. I hugged onto walls and had ringing in my ears.
I had open heart surgery and both knees replaced within 2 years and never walked good after that. I didn’t use a cane right away but when I touched the walls, I started to use one. To get better, I went to see my family doctor who sent me to physical therapy which helped for a little while. I was then sent to a specialist who said I was full of arthritis and that I’d have to live with it. I then tried a chiropractor who did three adjustments that helped for about a month. I tried acupuncture 6 times, once every other week and it did help but also did not last. When I fell and got stitches in my face I decided that I had to do something. I heard about Dr. Vicki.
Since arriving at Tri States Clinic of Chiropractic, my health has improved. I’m breathing better and my eyes don’t water as much. I can walk around the house without a cane and even fixed lunch one day. I can now shave without sitting down. I went to the races in Dubuque one night. I haven’t done that for 5 years. I used to go every week. I’m sleeping a lot better and am more relaxed and do not have to take pills to relax. I’m not nervous anymore.
One of the treatments Dr. Vicki prescribed was eye exercises and they are helping with my balance. She has let me start therapies at home to further improve my balance and synchronize the right and left sides of my brain.
The staff is really nice and concerned about you. They really care.
I would definitely send others to Tri States Clinic to see Dr. Vicki and the girls. They sure helped me.

TMJ Problems
Jessica Aeschliman
I’ve had TMJ problems for 9 years – I have not been able to open my jaw since I was diagnosed. I have also had severe neck and shoulder pain from a car accident in 2004. For my TMJ – I was treated at the University of Iowa hospital. I was prescribed muscle relaxers and even had surgery to try and open my jaw. I have been treated by three other chiropractors and nothing worked! I just thought it was something I would have to live with. Since treating with Dr. Vicki I have been sleeping better at night, my mood is improving, and I have more energy during the day. The best thing is that I can fully open my jaw without any pain and my neck feels amazing! Dr. Vicki and her staff have been extremely helpful and professional every time I’m treated. Dr. Vicki makes sure that her patients fully understand treatment and the diagnosis. She spends quality time with her patients and doesn’t rush. Dr. Vicki and her staff have been the only ones to fix the problem!
Note: Since writing this testimonial, Jessica has been to the dentist and was able to hold her jaw open for the entire visit without a brace!

When I first came into Tri States Clinic of Chiropractic, I had pain and stiffness in my neck and my lower and upper back. I had previously had surgery on a disc 3 years ago. One month later I had a second surgery for extreme pain because the disc had ruptured in the back of my neck.
Since treatment at Tri States Clinic of Chiropractic, the pain in my lower back has lessened. My neck is stronger and more flexible. I was treated excellently by the staff who are friendly and very helpful.
I would highly recommend this clinic to others. If you follow Dr. Vicki’s recommendations, you will get good results. |

Initially, I had lower back pain, shoulder problems, and loss of energy. I also had problems with sciatic nerve pain in the 7 month of my pregnancy. I had previously had surgery on my shoulder and took Tylenol almost daily.
Now I’m able to sleep through the night and my energy level has vastly improved. The shooting pains I had been experiencing from pregnancy have greatly diminished. It has made working on my feet more enjoyable. I’ve been more relaxed overall.
The staff at Tri States Clinic always kindly welcome me. Everyone is so friendly and willing to answer questions.
Tri States Clinic of Chiropractic has made a world of difference in my daily life. I was miserable until I came here. I swear by it now and wouldn’t miss an appointment.
Whenever given the chance I recommend this clinic. My life has been changed for the better and I swear it has been my appointments here. I think everyone should feel as good as I do now at 9 months pregnant. |

I had lower back pain from an extra vertebra. This condition caused my spine to move causing pain in my neck as well as having one leg shorter than the other. I initially noticed back pain at the age of sixteen.
I saw my regular doctor who did adjustments as well as Dr. David Weber. They would both help for a small amount of time then I would have to go back.
The staff at the office is nice, friendly, and very informed on practices to ensure for a healthy recovery. Dr. Vicki is the most thorough doctor I have ever dealt with. She looks at everything in the body not just the problem area.
I am now at a maintenance stage where I only have to see Dr Vicki once a month. I am more coordinated than before. I no longer just accept that pain is a daily experience I have to deal with.
I sleep better and feel more relaxed. I would see Dr. Vicki everyday if I could. She is not only my doctor but my friend.
I love coming to the clinic. The staff is very friendly and I also leave feeling amazing.
I would absolutely recommend Tri States Clinic and have done so to many. |

I suffer from diabetic neuropathy that caused pain, numbness, and burning and tingling in the balls of my feet and toes. Walking was painful due to plantar fasciitis. I also have lower back, sciatic, shoulder, and neck pain.
I had gone to a podiatrist who sent me to physical therapy for the plantar fasciitis. I was prescribed medication for the neuropathy. I had been treated by a chiropractor who focused on my neck and back but not my feet.
Since starting treatment at Tri-States Clinic of Chiropractic, I now can wear shoes and walk with less pain. Another benefit I was not expecting was the general more relaxed feeling that will allow me to enjoy my upcoming retirement. The neuropathy is ongoing but the lasers and percussor provide relief that allows me to get around better. Chiropractic care with Dr. Vicki will be a lifelong process.
Dr. Vicki and the staff are always friendly and treat each patient as if they are the only person being treated. I enjoy the visits and look forward to my next appointment.
I have told many of my friends and relatives how much relief I’ve gotten after years of being told there is no “cure” for the neuropathy. Although it will never go away, treatment has made it bearable. Pain in your feet has the worst effect on your life so this is a great experience. |

I smoked one to two packs a day for twenty years.
The cold laser treatments at Tri States Clinic have taken away all the physical craving for the action of smoking and the chemical addiction to the nicotine. I am currently down to three to four cigarettes a day and have only some of the physical action of smoking.
I noticed changes in my cravings and urge to smoke after the second treatment. I would highly recommend cold laser treatments for anyone that wants to quit smoking. It’s the only thing that has ever worked for me. |

I had always had trouble running because my stride is different and I was not flexible. I also was having headaches that were bothering me.
This was the first time I was treated. My cousin came to Tri States Clinic for headaches and she referred me. I am glad I did because now I feel better and have more energy. Today, I am more flexible which makes me run faster and feel better. I also have more energy. After being adjusted, I do not get as many headaches. When I do, they are not nearly as bad.
I sleep better now. I have also noticed that I can run farther without losing my breath. This is so helpful for me because I love being active and playing sports.
The staff at Tri States Clinic was awesome. They were kind and helpful with any questions I had or my parents had.
My experience here at Tri States Clinic was great all around. The people were nice and patient with listening to my problems and figuring out a solution that best fits me.
I would say that this clinic has not only helped me with my flexibility and headaches but also helped my other family members with different problems they had. This clinic successfully helped me and my family! I would also mention how my swing has improved, along with running, catching, and my overall ability on the field has improved. |

In the Spring/Summer of 2011, I started having spasms in my back that moved to my right side. The pain doctor gave me muscle relaxers and pain pills that only masked the pain. I had also been seeing a chiropractor and physical therapists that were unable to give me relief or answers.
At my worst, I needed to use caution just to lift a gallon of milk for fear of causing my back to spasm. I was no longer using my right arm by the time I saw Dr. Vicki July 13th, 2012. Here it is, mid September 2012 and I am better than I have been in a few years. I even helped a friend move last week and have been working in my yard again! There were unexpected benefits as well including: resolution of bowel and bladder problems, my whole back, shoulders, and carpel tunnel problems all resolved without surgery!
The staff really listens to what you have to say. Dr. Vicki can explain everything so you can understand why and where pain and discomfort happens. Their open line of communication is awesome. Alix and Melanie confer with Dr. Vicki anytime they have a question or concern on your behalf.
I really like their holistic approach. Their concern for their clients overall well being is shown in how they treat everyone that walks in their door. I have been recommending Tri State Clinic of Chiropractic to friends and members of my fibromyalgia support group. |
